Apply for Diploma:

If you plan to complete your degree requirements by the end of the spring term, follow the instructions below to apply for May 2015 graduation. The deadline is January 9, 2015.

New York Medical College holds its formal graduation (“commencement”) ceremony once a year, in May.  Diplomas are awarded at the same time.  The 2015 ceremony will be held at Carnegie Hall on Thursday May 21, 2015 at 5 p.m.  When you apply for graduation, you will be asked to indicate whether you plan to attend the ceremony.

To apply to graduate:

  1. Complete the online Graduation Application by January 9, 2015.  (Log in at https://isweb.nymc.edu; click on May 2015 Graduation Application)
  2. Use your credit card to pay the graduation fee for your program, if applicable.  (If you cannot pay by credit card, contact Registrar@nymc.edu.)

    Fees are as follows: (GSBMS $120) (SHSP $140) (MD, DPT, MS Speech $0).  Dual-degree students must pay the fee for both programs. 

    Re-submit the application if you previously applied and were not approved to graduate (no fee is required for “reapplying”).

  3. If you plan to attend the ceremony on May 21, 2015, use the link within the graduation application to order your cap and gown.

Special Note:

Diplomas are given out on stage at Carnegie Hall.  Therefore, if you indicated on your application that you would be attending commencement and later become unable to, please notify us in writing.  Please include your name, school, signature, and instructions to either pick up your diploma or have it mailed.  Diplomas are not mailed overseas or to P.O. boxes.

Apply for Certificate:

Certificates are offered through the School of Health Sciences & Practice.  Certificates are awarded the term following the completion of all course requirements as follows:

Once you have completed all required coursework, please complete the Certificate Issuance Request Form and return it to the Office of Admissions in order to be awarded your certificate (no fee required).

Please note: MPH students who wish to add a certificate to their academic program should submit an Application for Admission to Certificate Program to the Admissions Office at least one semester before graduation.
