During the strategic planning process, which will be completed in 2020--we as a community will review NYMC's mission and vision as well as engage in an inclusive, open and evidenced-based self-appraisal process, to build on our strengths and set new goals that will continue to elevate our position as a preeminent health sciences college.
The College launched a strategic planning website which will ensure transparency and promote comprehensive input from the NYMC community. View the Strategic Planning website.
Strategic Planning Co-chairs Jennifer Riekert, M.B.A., vice president of communications and strategic planning, and Dana Mordue, Ph.D., associate professor of microbiology and immunology and vice chancellor for Middle States Accreditation, recently sent a survey to members of the NYMC community, asking students, faculty, staff, alumni, and leadership to reflect and comment on the College's vision and mission statements. Responses to the survey have been enthusiastic; nearly 200 survey recipients having responded to date.
"College-wide input is invaluable in the planning process. We must move forward together as diverse members of the College Community to creatively strategize and plan for our future," Dr. Mordue said.
Ms. Riekert added, "This is the first step in what will be a year-long process. During the coming months, we will continue to reach out to the community with numerous opportunities to participate in this vital strategic planning initiative."
