History

From its modest origins with 59 students and eight faculty members in a single building at 20th Street and 3rd Avenue in New York City, New York Medical College has grown into a distinguished institution of learning and innovation with more than 26,000 living alumni. Today, we proudly celebrate our 165th anniversary with three schools and more than 1,500 talented students and 2,000 faculty on a 54-acre campus with state-of-the-art facilities serving as a hub of discovery, education, and compassion.
