As faculty member, Sambit Mohapatra, Ph.D., M.S., PT, was a tenure-track faculty at the Department of Physical Therapy in the University of Montana from 2014-2017 and later a tenured faculty member in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of Vermont between 2017-2023. While at the University of Vermont, Dr. Mohapatra led the physical therapy program as the program director between 2021 and 2023.

Dr. Mohapatra is trained in non-invasive brain stimulation, human motion analysis, neurocognitive measures and eye tracking. He has published in various prestigious peer-reviewed journals and has obtained research funding from various local/state agencies and the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Research

Dr. Mohapatra's primary area of research is focused on investigations to improve recovery of motor and cognitive functions in patients with stroke, TBI, and chronic dizziness.
