David E. Asprinio, M.D., is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic trauma surgeon and orthopaedic spine surgeon with 22 years of clinical experience. He has served as department chair and program director for 16 years. Dr. Asprinio is chair of Orthopaedic Surgery at New York Medical College, program director of the Westchester-based Orthopaedic Residency, and co-director of an Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship shared between the Hospital for Special Surgery and Westchester Medical Center.

Dr. Asprinio is a member of numerous organizations, including the Westchester County Medical Society, the New York State Medical Society, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, and the American Orthopaedic Association. He is a respected academician and educator who has lectured nationally and internationally. He has authored or co-authored numerous peer review publications. Dr. Asprinio specializes in the treatment of complex fractures and post-traumatic conditions. Particular areas of interest and expertise include pelvic ring and acetabulum fractures, periarticular fractures and the management of multiply injured patients. He has extensive experience in the treatment of posttraumatic deformity correction and nonunion repair.
