HPMM 8016 Political Economy of United States Healthcare Reform (Fall and Spring)

Course Description:

This course examines health policy formulation, implementation and evaluation through a critical analysis of the history of healthcare reform in the United States. In addition to providing a historical perspective, this course establishes a context for analyzing the current, varied approaches to healthcare reform at state and federal levels. (Master’s level students with the permission of the director of the doctoral program, may enroll in this class.

Prerequisites: HPMM 5001 Health Care in the US, and HPMM 5002 Health Economics
