Course Description:

Students in this course will learn how to critically evaluate published peer-reviewed research articles. This course will develop competency among doctoral students on how to read, interpret, and critique scientific literature. This course will be offered in a hybrid form. In-person sessions will include a combination of classroom presentations by NYMC faculty and invited outside guest lecturers and student presentations of their review of articles. Online sessions will consist of students reading articles posted online and submitting written reviews. Research related to all dimensions of public health will be covered. This course complements and reinforces other DrPH level research related courses.
