MMI and Traditional Interview Workshop

The Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) and traditional interview workshop is designed to teach you how to master every medical school interview. The program covers all types of interviews, and how to successfully navigate each one. You will learn what to do before, during, and after the interview. In addition, we cover common interview mistakes, how to set yourself apart from other interviewees, as well as how to master and prepare for the most common interview questions. We will do a deep dive into the Multiple Mini Interview (MMI), which is the preferred style for medical schools. Our mentors will teach you how to do well on the MMI, exactly what words will project certain values and traits that all medical schools are looking for in medical students and break down case scenarios detail by detail. You will also have the opportunity to go through some of the top ethical issues and how to master them.

Essay and Secondary Writing Workshop With a Writing Specialist

The Essay and Secondary Writing Workshop is led by a writing specialist at NYMC, who will give a detailed presentation that covers every aspect of essay writing necessary to catch the reader's attention and convey your competency as a potential medical school student.

Realistic MMI mock interview

The realistic mock-MMI helps students get a feel for the interview process (task-based, acting/scenario, and discussion stations will be present), and allows you to receive feedback on your performance.
