In her capacity as an advisor in the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, Catherine Yankou, M.P.H. '07, engages with students, supporting their acclimation to the school's demanding pace, leveraging of available school resources, and preparing for medical school interviews. In addition to these responsibilities, she engages in outreach and communication with undergraduate institutions, leading the promotion and recruitment efforts for GSBMS programs.

Prior to her current role, Ms. Yankou's professional background includes serving as an educational program manager in the department of Research Education and Training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine Graduate Program in the Biomedical Sciences, a training and continuing education programs coordinator at Westchester Institute for Human Development, and a coordinator of special projects and support services at NYMC Health Sciences Library. Notably, she dedicated several years as a volunteer medical school applicant interviewer for NYMC SOM before assuming her present position at the college.
