NYMC Welcomes AMSNY to Campus
SOM Dean Nadler welcomes leadership from Associated Medical Schools of New York (AMSNY)
Jerry L. Nadler, M.D., MACP, FAHA, FACE, fourth from left, dean of the School of Medicine (SOM), hosted a visit for leadership of the Associated Medical Schools of New York (AMSNY), Jo Wiederhorn, fifth from left, president and chief executive officer, and Jonathan Teyan, M.P.A., fifth from right, chief operating officer. AMSNY is a consortium of medical schools in New York State with the aim of advancing biomedical research, diversity in medical school and the physician workforce and high-quality and cost-efficient care. The visit included tours of BioInc@NYMC, the Clinical Skills and Simulation Center, research labs and the Alumni Gross Anatomy Laboratory.

Holz, Ph.D., dean of the Graduate School of Basic Medical Sciences; Jennifer Riekert, M.B.A., vice president of communications and strategic initiatives; Kenneth M. Lerea, Ph.D., associate professor of cell biology and anatomy and program director of the basic medical sciences traditional track; James DeMaio Sr., director of admissions for the SOM and Touro College of Dental Medicine; and Fredrick Z. Bierman, M.D., director of graduate medical education, Westchester Medical Center Health Network WMC and professor of pediatrics.
