SHSP Launches Pharm.D./M.P.H. Program with TCOP
The Partnership Will Allow Students to Expand Their Careers in Pharmacy With a Specialization in Public Health
The School of Health Sciences and Practice (SHSP) and Touro College of Pharmacy (TCOP) have launched the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)/Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) Program, a collaboration that will allow students to pursue a career with a public health focus and offer tremendous opportunity and flexibility within the pharmacy market.
With an M.P.H specialization in health behavior and community health, students learn social and behavior factors associated with chronic conditions, like heart disease, cancer and diabetes to prepare better public health strategies and improve the health and wellness in the community.
Once admitted to TCOP, students can apply to the M.P.H. program at NYMC and complete either a four-year accelerated track or a five-year traditional track. Upon completion of each program, TCOP and SHSP will grant their respective degrees.
