SLP Class of 2022 Gives Clinic Rooms a Makeover
As A Way To Say Thank You For Their Experiences At The Clinic, Members of the Class of 2022 Redecorated Four Treatment Rooms
The Boston Children’s Health Physicians Division of Speech-Language Pathology Clinic at New York Medical College (NYMC) has a brand-new look after members of the Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) Class of 2022 redecorated each room with a unique design. The graduates completed the project as a parting gift to provide a welcoming and fun environment for the young clients in the clinic.
The students worked arduously to remove the old décor and installed new decals with themes including outer space, flowers, the ocean and the popular children’s movie “Toy Story,” with decals of characters such as Woody and Buzz Lightyear.
“The members of the NYMC SLP faculty and clinical education staff are delighted with the re-decoration of our SLP clinic rooms. The rooms are colorful and are inviting to our young clients,” said Kathleen Kaiser, M.S., CCC-SLP, TSHH, director of clinical education and assistant professor in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology.
The students also incorporated a colorful handprint design in the waiting area and hallway with an encouraging quote that reads “The future of the world is in this room.” “We are most grateful for this donation from the SLP graduating class of 2022 and will enjoy these newly themed rooms for years to come,” Ms. Kaiser said.
