Behavioral Phenotyping Core
The Behavioral Phenotyping Core provides expertise and equipment to analyze rodent behaviors in a complex way that may help to identify relevant neuronal substrates.
Biosafety Level-3 Laboratory
The Biosafety Level-3 Laboratory offers a facility for research with select biological agents and toxins.
Histopathology and Imaging Core
The Histopathology and Imaging Core provides histology, special staining, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence and cryotomy services to the NYMC research community as well as outside entities and institutions.
Data Management Core
The Data Management Core assists biomedical and clinical researchers in designing and executing their studies. Among the first services to be offered is access to the REDCap Cloud, a web-based application for building and managing surveys and databases online for clinical and translational research.
Flow Cytometry Core
The Flow Cytometry Core provides high-quality comprehensive services on flow cytometry, fluorescence-activated cell sorting, and scanning cytometry analyses that have broad research and clinical applications that continue to grow.
Genomics Core
The Genomics Core houses both basic and translational genomics research to allow individual investigators access to state-of-the-art next-generation sequencing technologies to conduct genomics experiments and bioinformatics analyses.

The College provides a comprehensive program for the care and use of laboratory animals in biomedical research and in academic and professional training.
Lipidomics and Mass Spectrometry Core
The Lipidomics and Mass Spectrometry Core Facility provides support for faculty and student researchers at NYMC, as well as other institutions and private companies. The core’s primary analytical instrument is a Shimadzu LC-MS/MS 8050 system, which allows for the identification and quantification of lipid mediators from biological matrices.
Stem Cell Laboratory
The Stem Cell Laboratory provides expertise and resources for NYMC researchers studying adult stem cell biology, including cell culture, immunohistochemistry, and confocal imaging.
