Apply to the MPH Program

The Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) within the School of Health Sciences and Practice offers the following degrees:

Program Timing
You may enroll in the M.P.H. and Certificate programs for the Fall, Spring, and Summer terms. Our Accelerated Program begins in the Summer only.

The Fall term begins in late August/early September; the Spring term begins in mid-January; and the Summer term begins in early June.

Application Deadlines
The preferred application deadline for each term is as follows, however, we will review applications on a rolling basis and after the deadline.

  • Fall Term: August 1
  • Spring Term:  December 1
  • Summer Term: April 15 for International Students; May 1 for Domestic Students

Apply through the centralized application service for Schools of Public Health, SOPHAS. Begin the online application process.

Application Requirements

The following materials are required to complete your application, and must be submitted through SOPHAS:

  • Application: Submit your application and application fee by the appropriate deadline. 
  • Transcript(s) of undergraduate (post-secondary) course work: All applicants for the M.P.H. degree must hold a baccalaureate degree, or its equivalent, from an accredited college or university. Prerequisite course requirements and work requirements vary by the academic program.
  • Two (2) Recommendations (faculty, supervisors, or employers)
  • Personal Statement
  • Resume
  • GRE is NOT required.

An interview may be required if the department or faculty has additional questions or concerns.

International Students
International students must complete the application by April 15.
