Monica McHenry, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, currently researches studying strategies for individuals with degenerative diseases to be able to communicate verbally for as long as possible. She is also investigating aspects of speech-motor learning to determine the most effective structure of therapy to facilitate long-term retention and generalization. Dr. McHenry continues to collaborate with faculty at the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston, currently studying the most vocally efficient and least damaging strategies to learn new operatic music. She is continuing her research of vocational voice users, to help them optimize how they use their voice while working.
