Malathi Aarkoti, B.H.M.S., M.P.H.

Malathi Aarkoti, BHMS, M.P.H. received her Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from New York Medical College (NYMC) in 2011 and has extensive experience in governmental public health at the federal, state and local levels. She has worked on various projects, including prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, disaster epidemiology and data analysis of Emergency Medical Services data for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Florida State Department of Health, New Jersey Department of Health and New Haven, Connecticut Health Department and Somerset County, NJ Health Department. Malathi is currently a Data Analyst/Epidemiologist at the New Jersey Department of Health utilizing SAS and STATA statistical software for analyzing large datasets. Her current research interests focus on the “Opioid Epidemic” especially, Naloxone administration and the dosage required for opioid overdoses by NJ Emergency Medical Services professionals. Malathi holds a baccalaureate degree in Homeopathic Medicine from India where she practiced homeopathy for three years.
