Shannon Freeman, M.P.A.

Shannon Freeman is a health care administrator with an acting role as the Community Health Coordinator at Hackensack Meridian Health Pascack Valley Medical Center. She is responsible for developing community –based health programs aimed at the prevention of disease and the promotion of health. Her work includes leveraging relationships with local health officers, health agencies, corporate and educational and civic leaders. Her current community health initiatives for awareness are vaping education and the opioid epidemic with a concentration in Naloxone administration. During the completion of her Master’s in Public Administration, she gained extensive experience in healthcare administration and management as an Administrative Office Coordinator at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in the Gastroenterology, Nutrition and Hepatology service. Shannon earned her BS in Health Service Administration in 2017 and her Masters in 2019. Her areas of interest include improving hospital efficiency to promote an adequate health care system and the importance of educational tools to improve overall population health by using public health initiatives, higher education and health policy and management.
