Jamil Samkari, M.D., M.P.H.

Jamil Samkari is a primary care physician with research experience in infection control disease and disease surveillance. Dr. Samkari earned his medical degree from the University of Umm-Alqura, Saudi Arabia, and obtained his Master of Public Health – M.P.H. in 2016 from Tufts University, School of Public Health, Boston, MA. Before pursuing his doctorate, he was teaching assistant in medical school at King Abdelaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. His passion is to contribute to the experience that has gained in public health in the United States and apply what he learned in the program to his country to make people have a better quality of life. Currently, he is a first year Dr.P.H. student at NYMC and a trainee in Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disability (LEND) program at Westchester Institute for Human Development, NY.
