Nicole Richardson, M.P.H., M.S.W.

Nicole Richardson is a pediatric behavioral consultant who specializes in working with children and families. While running her consulting practice, Nicole co-authored studies at the McSilver Institute for Poverty Policy and Research at New York University (NYU). She previously worked at the Westchester Institute for Human Development where she was a Westchester Resource for Adoption Program specialist in the child welfare unit. Nicole also gained extensive experience providing individual therapy during her time as a clinical social work intern in the same unit while working with children in foster care. Nicole also interned at NYU’s Child Study Center in the Autism Spectrum Disorders Clinical and Research Program where she provided psychotherapy and life skills coaching. Prior to joining the field of social work, Nicole studied public health and completed her practicum as a hospital administration process improvement intern at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She then worked as a public health research assistant at NYU Langone Medical Center. Nicole received her undergraduate degree in Sociology from Union College. She then went on to graduate from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health with a Master of Public Health in healthcare management and policy. Nicole also received a Master of Social Work from NYU Silver School of Social Work where she was the co-President of the Phi Alpha Honor Society. Nicole’s research interests include examining and designing best practices to address healthcare disparities as well as the evaluation of process improvements that enhance both patient experiences and overall health outcomes.
