Allison Asher, M.B.A., CHES, M.P.H.

Allison Asher has worked continuously with individuals who have experienced sexual violence through counseling and fundraising. She has done so in her previous role as a Certified Rape Crisis Counselor for the Victims Information Bureau of Suffolk County and hosted campus-wide fundraising initiatives. Allison has also worked with the American Cancer Society and transitioned Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk into a joint virtual/in-person event during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Ms. Asher has two Master’s degrees, both a Master’s in Public Health with a Community Health concentration and a Master’s in Business Administration which were awarded from SUNY Stony Brook in 2021. Ms. Asher is also a Nationally Certified Health Education Specialist and received her Bachelor’s in Psychology with minors in Health and Wellness as well as Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Stony Brook University in 2019. Ms. Asher is a DrPH student with an interest in global health, social determinants of health, and health disparities. Ms. Asher's main focus of research is on sexual violence and mental health and how these areas of health intersect.
