Azzam Althomali, M.P.H.

Azzam Althomali is an international student from Saudi Arabia who joined the DrPH program in Health Policy and Management at NYMC in August 2022. He received his Bachelor’s degree of Science in Chemistry from Taif University, Saudi Arabia in 2015. In 2016, he obtained a Higher Diploma in Education from Umm Al-Qura University, Saudi Arabia which boosted his career as a high school chemistry teacher in Taif, Saudi Arabia in 2017. Also in 2017, he received a fully- sponsored scholarship from the Saudi Ministry of Health to complete his graduate studies. One and a half years after receiving the scholarship Ahmed dedicated himself to study Academic English language. He attained his Master of Public Health in Environmental Health Sciences at NYMC and graduated in May 2022. During his master’s program period he got a three-month field training opportunity to practice as a public health specialist at King Abdulaziz Specialist Hospital, Taif, Saudi Arabia in the summer of 2021.
