Uchechukwu Igwe obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from William Paterson University. She attained her Master’s degree in Public Health with Community Education Concentration. During her time in graduate school, she worked at East Orange Health Department where she worked extensively on health initiatives such as smoking cessation and physical activity in the community. Her areas of interest are aging, healthy aging, smoking cessation, aging communities in urban settings, health care access and health equity. Uchechukwu joined the DrPH program in Health Policy and Management at NYMC in August 2022.
