Kwabena Twum- Nuamah, M.D., M.B.A, MGCP, M.P.H.
Dr. Kwabena Twum- Nuamah is an international student from Ghana. He is a second year DrPH student in the Health Policy and Management program at NYMC. He received his bachelor’s degree in medicine from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi-Ghana, in 2003. He worked as a public health physician with over fifteen years’ experience in the fields of “community medicine, hospital administration, disease control and health policy”, with six years’ experience as a hospital manager at his district hospital. He obtained two master degrees. He earned his MBA in 2013 from Kwame Nkrumah University in Ghana. He did his residency in Public Health with Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons which has been completed in 2021. Prior to pursuing his doctorate, He worked as a Member of the Parliament of Republic of Ghana, during which he was the chairman of the Parliament health committee between 2017- 2021. His research interest is the Health Financing (especially Sustainable Financing Models for Pediatric Cancer Care). He attained his Master’s degree of Public Health in 2016 from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi-Ghana.
