Bruno Villazhinay- Matute, M.P.H. '22

Bruno Villazhinay-Matute, M.P.H. '22., has over seven years of patient care, hospital, and research administration experience. Currently, he is a Senior Administrator at NYMC, where he works with senior leaders and its affiliates to accomplish strategic goals and initiatives. His research interest is about the intersection between public health and local government. For that he has also served as a chair for health and wellness in the northern Westchester area, which allows him to lead and advise on community-based projects to address common health issues and reduce barriers to health and human services. In pursuit of his doctoral degree, he aims to gain the necessary skills and knowledge to run a healthcare organization and develop policies and practices to advance health equity and access to healthcare in the United States and across the globe.
