How to Apply
The NYMC GPR participates in the American Dental Education Association Postdoctoral Application Support Service (ADEA PASS). The four-year program is designed to accept two qualified candidates. To be considered, applicants must have graduated from a CODA-accredited US or Canadian dental school, and either be a US citizen or a permanent resident. Applications open in early July.
Application Deadline: October 1
Once applications are reviewed, selected candidates will receive direct invitations for interviews in November. Upon completion of the interview process, placements will be finalized via the Postdoctoral Dental Matching Program (MATCH).
For your PASS application to be considered complete, it should include the following materials:
- 2X2 Passport Photo
- Current Curriculum Vitae
- Personal Statement
- Dental School Transcripts
- Letter from Dental School Dean
- Letters of Recommendation (3)
- Official Undergraduate Transcripts
- NBDE Score Report (Part 1 and Part 2 or INBDE)
- CBSE Score Report
- Application Fee of $140 - Payable to NYMC SOM/Dental Medicine

Compensation & Benefits
Residents receive a full postgraduate trainee stipend during each year of the program. In addition, health and disability insurance benefits are provided. Years One and Two will be under NYC H+H/ Metropolitan employee contracts, and Years Three and Four will be under Westchester Medical Center Health employee contracts.
