Wilbert S. Aronow, M.D., has edited more than 20 books and is the author or co-author of nearly 1,900 papers, more than 200 chapters in 100+ books, nearly 1,000 commentaries, 50 Letters to the Editor, 1,200+ abstracts, and is presenter or co-presenter of more than 1,600 talks at meetings. Dr. Aronow has been a member of almost 200 editorial boards of medical journals. He has been a member of 4 national guidelines committees including being a coauthor of the 2010 AMDA guidelines for heart failure, a co-chair and first author of the 2011 ACC/AHA expert consensus document on hypertension in the elderly, a coauthor of the 2015 AHA/ACC/ASH scientific statement on treatment of hypertension in patients with coronary artery disease, and a coauthor of the 2017 ACC/AHA guidelines for the management of patients with hypertension. He was a co-author of a 2015 position paper from the International Lipid Expert Forum. Dr. Aronow has been a committee member of numerous professional societies and a consultant to many government agencies. He has mentored more than 1,100 physicians and medical students, as well as has 1,500 papers listed on PubMed during his professional career.
