Supriya S. Jain, M.D., FSCMR, FACC, FAAP
Supriya S. Jain, M.D., provides highly skilled patient care and services in pediatric cardiology and cardiovascular imaging utilizing state-of-the-art technology and is renowned for her exceptional patient care, groundbreaking research, and educational leadership. She holds multiple leadership positions in healthcare, education, and research at an institutional, national, and international level. She is the Director of Pediatric Cardiac MRI/Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital. An Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Radiology, and Public Health, she serves as the Clinical Education Liaison, Director of Transition to Fourth Year and Transition to Residency Capstone Programs at NYMC-SOM
As a recipient of the 2021 Dean's Faculty Award-NYMC and the 2023 New York State Woman of Distinction Award by the New York State Assembly, Dr. Jain's contributions to healthcare and research have garnered institutional and state-wide recognition. Her pioneering work includes reporting the first findings of cardiac MRI abnormalities in Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C) related to COVID-19 in the United States and leading one of the largest multicenter studies in the nation as the principal investigator of The MACiV (Myocarditis After COVID Vaccination) study, funded by The U.S Food and Drug Administration, investigating the mid and long-term outcomes in affected patients across 38 academic centers. Her research is widely published in peer-reviewed journals, and she is a sought-after speaker at national and international conferences.
In addition to her clinical and research roles, Dr. Jain holds key positions in several prestigious medical societies. She serves on committees for the Society of Cardiac Magnetic Resonance (SCMR), including the Pediatrics/Congenital Heart Disease Steering Committee, the COVID Taskforce and Efficient CMR Taskforce. As the Founding Chair of the Societal Liaison subcommittee and Chair of SCMR Webinars, she demonstrates her commitment to advancing medical education and collaboration.
Dr. Jain's leadership extends to international initiatives, serving on the Steering Committee of the International Kawasaki Disease Registry network. Her past roles include serving on the Executive Committee of the American Academy of Pediatrics' Section on Simulation and Innovative Learning Methods.
A gifted educator and public speaker, Dr. Jain hosts and moderates numerous educational webinars, further solidifying her role as a thought leader in pediatric cardiology and medical education.
